VAHTOR is an AI governance platform from Vahtor Oy in Helsinki, Finland. It shows which AI tools your people use, such as ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude and Gemini, lets you approve, restrict or block them, and keeps AI policy and training records, without collecting prompts or conversations.

Measure it in the browser. Each employee adds the VAHTOR extension to Chrome or Edge with a personal device code, and every AI site they use appears in one company inventory with the tool name and time. There is no network proxy or root certificate, so it also works off-VPN and for remote staff.

Combine a clear rule with a control in the browser. Publish a company AI policy from a template and track who accepted it, mark each AI tool as approved, restricted or blocked, and turn on a Files rule so PDF, Excel and Office attachments to AI tools are cancelled before they leave the tab.

Yes. Mark ChatGPT as approved and keep a Files rule on. People keep using the tool, while PDF, Excel and Office attachments to covered AI sites are cancelled in the tab. The employee sees a banner explaining why, and an alert is logged without the file contents. Files rules are in Business and Enterprise.

No. Prompt and chat text is never sent to VAHTOR. Checks for credentials, secrets and file attachments run on the employee's device. Your workspace sees the AI tool name, the time, a detection type and risk level, plus policy and training records. Reporting is aggregated by default; names appear only if the owner turns them on.

It gives you the evidence: an AI tool inventory, policy acceptance by version, an AI literacy course with modules and a quiz, completions recorded per person, and an audit trail. Article 4 has applied since 2 February 2025, and it does not require a certificate. VAHTOR supports your compliance work; it is not legal advice.
